VISITED PLANET
Visited
Planet is an online travel image database for editors, researchers and the general
public. There are images of general travel locations, festivals and culture but
also of natural disasters, humanitarian/developmental projects and documentary
images of the third world. Visited Planet has been designed with an intention to aid impoverished people around the
world. A percentage of image sales goes towards
supporting a different indigenous people group, charity or aid
organization. These funds are designed to educate, equip
and encourage these people; many whom are very generous despite their limited
resources and willingly share their food, homes and lives which are documented
in photographs on this website. Read more...

This energetic image of the horse racing finish at a Nadaam
in Zuunkhara (Mongolia) shows just how much Mongols love their sports and
festivities. This annual festival celebrates the three manly sports of the
Mongols - archery, wrestling and horseriding. It dates back to the time of
Chhingis Khan and is celebrated in every part of the country, even in the
remotest parts of the steppe.

Photo Tips
Cultivate good photography habits for your next trip. Consider:
1. Putting everything in a designated place in your camera bag so it's easy to
check if something's missing or to find it later.
2. Always reset your camera to its usual working mode before you put it away.
3. When you take your lens cap off to shoot always put it in the same
place, a particular pocket, part of your bag etc. It's one of the most easily
lost accessories.
